We're a small, family-owned-and-operated pewter casting business, based in Minnesota. Many of our mold assets were purchased from the since-retired company Metal Rock from Apopka, Florida.
We're excited to be introducing our own in-house original designs, and to be working with you!

What goes into making our product? Careful attention to safety, detail, and strict quality control. We'd rather re-cast your order from the beginning and make ourselves extra work, than send you lesser quality product.
Our workshop is home to a propane-fed smelter that heats pewter to 5500 Fahrenheit, a centrifuge for spinning molds, a vibratory tumbler for polishing, and a LOT of vulcanized rubber and silicone molds. Molds are dusted in talc powder as needed and placed into the centrifuges, which spin the circular mold around and around.
When molten pewter is poured in by hand, the centrifugal force feeds pewter throughout the entire cavity of the mold. Air is forced out of the mold through small channels called vents; as the pewter begins to rapidly cool, air pockets form and are subsequently forced out, leaving behind a fully solid metal cast.
Once cool enough to handle, the pewter casts are removed and examined for quality and defects such as pinholes or malformed details. Those that pass muster get sent to the next work station for finishing, where we remove any rough seams or spurs, before polishing begins.
Many of our designs are enhanced with professional grade epoxy resin for a splash of color and personality, or accented by the addition of glass marbles, real crystals, and plastic resin jewels. Unless colors are specified at each individual order placement, we will defer to Artist's Choice for the color selection of epoxy and gems.
Charms ready to be enameled are cleaned of any residual contaminants, then arranged on a portable sheet. Epoxy resin and hardener are measured out by weight or by volume, then mixed and loaded into our pneumatic dispenser (a fancy phrase for air-powered!) . A foot peddle controls dispensing force and flow; epoxy is applied by syringe. Gems are placed on each individual dot of beeswax at the end, or by tweezers (all depends on which gems we're working with).
Once the entire tray is finished being fitted with color, or stoneset, we wait for it to set, cure, charm by hand, using a stick with a and be ready for packaging, (NOTE: uhh I think there should be more here)
